CMSW SPRING CONCERT TUESDAY, MAY 15
THE FINAL BAND CONCERT AT CHASKA MIDDLE SCHOOL WEST SHOULD BE AN AMAZINGLY FUN NIGHT WITH PLENTY OF INCREDIBLE MUSIC.  IT TAKES PLACE ON MONDAY, MAY 15 AT CHASKA MIDDLE SCHOOL WEST.  

IT BEGINS WITH A WONDERFUL DINNER SERVED BY COX CULINARY ARTS AT 5 P.M. AND INCLUDES BEAUTIFUL TABLE SETTINGS FROM CHANHASSEN FLORAL.  THE DINNER WILL FEATURE MUSIC PLAYED BY OUR 8TH GRADE CHAMBER ENSEMBLES. 

THE 8TH GRADE BAND CONCERT WILL FOLLOW AT 6 P.M. AND WILL FEATURE A CHALLENGING AND WONDERFUL WORK BY MICHAEL SWEENEY CALLED “HALF MOON ON THE HUDSON” AS WELL AS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE CALLED “SALVATION IS CREATED”.  IT WILL CONCLUDE WITH AN 80S FAVORITE THAT SHOULD HAVE EVERYONE SINGING.

THE 7TH GRADE BAND FOLLOWS AT 7 P.M. WITH A WONDERFUL PIECE BY BRIAN BALMAGES CALLED “MOSCOW 1941”, A BEAUTIFUL SONG BY TYLER GRANT CALLED “...AT TWILIGHT” AND A VERY INTERESTING CONCERT MARCH.

THE EVENING CONCLUDS WITH THE 6TH GRADE BAND PERFORMING AT 8 P.M. SOME OF THEIR MOST CHALLENGING LITERATURE OF THE YEAR INCLUDING MICHAEL SWEENEY’S “DANSBURY RUN” AND A BAND FAVORITE “CELTIC AIR AND DANCE”.  THERE WILL ALSO BE SOME SMALL ENSEMBLE SURPRISES DURING THE CONCERT.
