“SUBURBS” IS DEBUT PERFORMANCE FOR GARAGE BANDS
FROM 2014-2016 THE GARAGE BAND PROGRAM DID A COLLABORATIVE CONCERT AS A FUNDRAISER FOR TOYS FOR TOTS FOR ITS DEBUT PERFORMANCE.  LAST YEAR FEATURED THE SAME BENEFIT BUT IN A DIFFERENT FORMAT AND IN A DIFFERENT VENUE. AND NOW THIS YEAR, THE EVENT IS HAPPENING AGAIN!

THE CONCERT TITLED ROCKIN’ THE SUBURBS IS A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT BETWEEN THE PERFORMING INSTITUTE OF MINNESOTA (PIM) ARTS HIGH SCHOOL AND SONGERSTUDIO.  IT WILL TAKE PLACE AT PIM ARTS HIGH SCHOOL LOCATED AT 7255 FLYING CLOUD DRIVE IN EDEN PRAIRIE ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16 AT 2 P.M.  

THE EVENT FEATURES THE THREE MIDDLE SCHOOL GARAGE BANDS FROM DISTRICT 112.  AND IT WILL INCLUDE THE THREE HIGH SCHOOL GARAGE & COUNTRY BANDS RUN BY KRIS STAUFFER.  

JOINING THE SIX GARAGE BANDS WILL BE A BAND FROM PIM AS WELL AS STUDENT ACTORS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE WONDERFULLY TALENTED WILLIAM T. LEAF.  

PIM HIGH SCHOOL AND SONGERSTUDIO HAVE A STRONG BELIEF IN OFFERING POPULAR MUSIC CLASSES AND ENSEMBLES AS PART OF A MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM.

IN ADDITION TO THE PERFORMANCE, THERE WILL BE A FREE-WILL OFFERING OF BRAND NEW TOYS FOR TOYS FOR TOTS.  ADMISSION IS FREE OF CHARGE.
