GUEST CONDUCTING
ON MONDAY, MAY 21, ERIC SONGER WAS ONE OF THREE GUEST CONDUCTORS AT THE KETTLE MORAINE DISTRICT BAND CONCERT AT KETTLE MORAINE HIGH SCHOOL IN WALES, WISCONSIN.  TYPICALLY, ONE GUEST CONDUCTOR IS BROUGHT IN, BUT THIS YEAR THREE CONDUCTORS WERE INVITED IN HONOR OF THE 50-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE HIGH SCHOOL.  

IN ADDITION TO ERIC, HIS MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND DIRECTOR, KEN LEMKE, AND FORMER KM BAND DIRECTOR CHARLENE GOODRICH ULICHNEY WERE ALSO GUEST CONDUCTING.  THE THREE TOOK TURNS CONDUCTING THE 5TH GRADE, MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL BANDS CONCLUDING WITH A MASS BAND PERFORMANCE OF “STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER”.

IT WAS ERIC’S SECOND TIME COMING BACK TO CONDUCT.  THE KETTLE MORAINE MUSIC PROGRAM IS ONE OF THE MOST HIGHLY RESPECTED PROGRAMS IN THE STATE.
