ERIC AWARDED $5,000 CENTURY LINK GRANT
ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 13, ERIC SONGER WAS SURPRISED WHEN CHASKA MIDDLE SCHOOL WEST PRINCIPAL SHERYL HOUGH CALLED AN EMERGENCY 5-MINUTE STAFF MEETING.  ONCE AT THE MEETING, SHERYL HOUGH, ASKED ERIC TO STAND UP AND THREE CENTURYLINK REPRESENTATIVES AWARDED ERIC WITH A CHECK FOR CLOSE TO $5,000.  

THE PROCEEDS WERE A GRANT AWARD THAT WAS GIVEN TO ERIC FOR HIS “THE NEXT GENERATION OF MUSIC EDUCATION” PROJECT.  THE GIFT WILL GO TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTERS; TABLETS; SOFTWARE FOR RECORDING, COMPOSING AND PRACTICING; MICROPHONES; AN AMP; AND OTHER ACCESSORIES.

CENTURYLINK FOUNDATION HAS BEEN AWARDING TEACHERS FOR YEARS FOR INNOVATIVE PROJECTS THAT POSITIVELY IMPACT STUDENTS.
